Winter Guard is an extracurricular club at Oak Harbor High School that is open to all high school students within the Oak Harbor School District. We are a performance art group that mixes dance and theater while spinning equipment (flags, rifles, sabres and anything else we find that works).
Our 1st Winter Guard Showcase was a private event in 2022. In 2023 we opened it up to the public to share our competitive show titled, "Box of Dreams" along with a few invited guest performers.
We have recently switched the name to "Winter Showcase" because in the winter, many performance art activities are taken indoors and are rarely known about or seen publicly due to competition/performance travel. We want to bring those performers to share the stage so that their hard work is recognized and shared with the community.
Singers, bands (solos/ensembles), dancers, cheer, flow arts, any other performance groups that would like to join are welcome! We want an evening full of different, genres, cultures and styles!
